Metamorphic Force – Review

Being one of the last beat ’em ups from the Japanese giant, Konami, it’s not a surprise to learn that Metamorphic Force is a pretty solid game. While this may not be for everyone, the game is incredibly fun and has some quirks that you won’t see in any other game. It’s not certain which one was the last game from Konami, if this or Violent Storm, but all the clues lead to Violent Storm being the last one. Magazines like the Japanese Game Machine, which listed how popular games were back then, listed Metamorphic in September 1993, while Violent Storm was only listed in November of the same year. But being the last one or not, Metamorphic Force is a game that you really should take a look and, if you’re on the fence, check out my review, right here:

The thing that most caught my attention in this game was the OST, made mostly of Progressive Rock tunes that are amazing! This is really something unique for the time. I am sharing below with you some of the in-game tunes. I cut some of the shorter tunes and fanfare to keep things more musical.

Check it out:

There’s not much available from Metamorphic Force on the web, aside from a couple of images of a very bad shape Cabinet that hurts my heart to see:

And here you can check some of the US and JP Flyers:
